[haguruka.com] TR: {UAH} Slain French priest to be beatified two years from now!

This  " The slain French priest, Rev Fr Jacques Hamel ( 85 ), whose throat was slit by a Jihaddist terrorist on July 26, 2016 while he was saying Mass in his parish church at St-Etienne-du-Rouvray is going to be beatified as a martyr in two years' time. "is a very good news .
Then a wise one would ask the "Holy See" why father Guy Pinard a Canadian priest shot dead on the altar during the mass, exactly like this French priest, in a northern parish of  Rwanda has not been also honored the same way? Is it because he was killed in African jungle or Canada has less value than France?
Just asking Sir/Madam

The French church where an elderly priest was murdered by Islamist extremists has opened its doors for the first time since the attack on 26 July.

A special service began with a procession through the town of Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray, in Normandy.

In the church itself, the Archbishop of Rouen Dominique Lebrun sprinkled holy water as a sign of purification.

Many Muslims also attended the ceremony, which was relayed on a big screen in the town square.

The attack was claimed by two followers of so-called Islamic State, who were shot dead by police afterwards.

The attackers slit the throat of 85-year-old Father Jacques Hamel at the foot of the altar in front of parishioners after bursting into the church during Mass.

Thousands attended Fr Hamel's funeral in the city of Rouen in August.

"This is a new stage of healing, of convalescence," said town mayor Hubert Wulfranc, who hopes to erect a monument in memory of Fr Hamel.

Mafalda Pace, 81, who lives next door to the 16th-Century church, said Fr Hamel was "a good priest".

"I always went to see him and he never refused to be of service," she told AFP news agency.

The killing of Fr Hamel shocked France. It came after an attack that killed 86 people on Bastille Day when a militant Islamist drove a lorry into crowds in the southern city of Nice.

The news of his murder which shook the whole world was equally received with great shock by Pope Francis who has now formally informed the Archbishop of Rouen whose full jurisdiction covers St-Etienn-du-Rouvray that  he has decided to waive the canonical delay of five years ( counting from the day the candidate died ) that have to lapse before any procedure of glorification in the Roman Catholic has to start.
The Archbishop of Rouen disclosed this news to the hundreds of people who had gathered at the parish church to witness its re-opening to the public since the day it was closed following the murder of the old priest. The church was packed to full capacity and hundreds of others had to follow the ceremonies on a mega-screen planted outside. The Archbishop, surrounded by the parish priest, an African from West Africa, cleansed the altar with holy water and blessed a number of statues.
He also administered special blessings on the door the assailant used to enter in the parish church. The Pope has authorized the Archbishop to specially consecrate this door as a Holy Door to be used by pilgrims and faithful during the remaining part of this Holy Year of Mercy. Using this Holy door will bring special graces to the faithful who will pass through it to enter the church..
The ceremonies brought many Moslems attracted byu the message of brotherly solidarity.
The slain priest has now become an instant hero. His beatification will go through very smoothly as he doesn't need to do any miracle because he's officially recognized as a martyr. As for his canonization as an official saint of the Catholic Church he will need to do a miracle. But in this case the Pope may also dispense with any such miracle and just proceed with the canonization as he did for Pope John XXIII whose spiritual grandeur and great high achievements as Pope spoke bigger than a mere miracle. Rumours point to the same trend in anticipation of an eventual glorification of Pope Pius XII.
As for the murderers of the old priest, they were arrested having been betrayed by a sentence they posted on social media. The police traced the origin of this sentence and finally got the culprits. Severe judgement is awaiting them.

-“The root cause of the Rwandan tragedy of 1994 is the long and past historical ethnic dominance of one minority ethnic group to the other majority ethnic group. Ignoring this reality is giving a black cheque for the Rwandan people’s future and deepening resentment, hostility and hatred between the two groups.”
