4 July 2014, Latest update: Summary - powerful tropical storm is forecast.
A powerful tropical storm is forecast to affect New Brunswick, Nova
Scotia, Prince Edward Island and the Port aux Basques region of
Newfoundland until 6 July. Strong winds and heavy rain are expected,
with the potential to disrupt travel. Contact your tour operator or
airline for flight information as flight disruption could occur in the
areas affected. You should monitor weather reports and follow the
advice of local authorities, including if ordered to evacuate.
Hurricane Arthur is forecast to affect US east coast regions on
Saturday 5 July and expected to move north into Canadian east coast
regions as a tropical storm.
