Alfred Nkubili, Rwandan Businessman signing business deals

AFRICA

Sources within Rwandan intelligence services told AfroAmerica Network that on Friday, July 03, 2020,  President Paul Kagame's security forces arrested Alfred Nkubili, a Rwandan businessman, at his house.  Alfred Nkubili  is a prominent business man whose trucks allegedly transported to Masaka hills missiles that were used by Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF)  troops to shoot down the airplane carrying the Presidents of Burundi and Rwanda, Cyprien Ntaryamira and Juvenal habyarimana.  According to the sources, the entire kidnapping operation looked like a thrilling action movie.

As Nkubili was returning home in the evening on July 3, 2020, Rwandan President General Paul Kagame's security forces followed him into his compound and forcefully removed him from his vehicle at gun point, threw him into the back of a truck, and sped off. His whereabouts remain unknown.

Who is Alfred Nkubili?

He is one of the many Tutsi businessmen who prospered under President Juvenal Habyarimana's regime and survived the Rwandan genocide. According to unconfirmed reports and sources, on April 06, 1994, an RPF commando used his Toyota truck to transport missiles from the parliament  building, known as CND,  to Masaka. From Masaka, the missiles were launched by RPF troops   and downed the airplane carrying the Presidents of Burundi and Rwanda, Cyprien Ntaryamira and Juvenal Habyarimana. The two presidents and all the passengers and crews were killed (see AfroAmerica Network: Remembering Assassination of Presidents Juvenal Habyarimana and Cyprien Ntaryamira: Time for Overdue Justice For Families)

In the wake of the genocide, the RPF rewarded Alfred Nkubili with lucrative business contracts. He setup the  conglomerate  Ets Nkubili Alfred and Sons, also known as ENAS. He became wealthy, so wealthy that he built commercial buildings and mansions in Rwanda and bought houses in Canada where he sent his children for school and bought houses for them.

Then he fell out of favor with the RPF leadership when Crystal Ventures, a conglomerate owned by the RPF,  took over control of the Rwandan economy. In July, 2016, Alfred Nkubiri was arrested, after being accused of using forged documents, importing "substandard goods and fertilizers", through his conglomerate  ENAS.  Another version of the reasons for his arrest at the time was that Crystal Ventures sought to squeeze him and ENAS out of the agro-industry business and he had tried to fight back.

According to our sources in Kigali, Alfred Nkubili is diabetic and his family is concerned about his well being since without insulin he would die and his complicity with the RPF in the downing of the plane will go to the grave with him. In 2018, he spent over a month seeking medical care in Canada.

Alfred Nkubili's sister is the wife of Prosper Higiro, the current Rwandan Ambassador to Canada. So far, Ambassador Prosper Higiro and his wife have kept  mum about Alfred Nkubili's fate.

AfroAmerica Network has tried to contact them without success.

What are these groups?

MANIFESTO

RWANDAN ALLIANCE FOR CHANGE - RAC

Putting people at the center of political action

PREAMBLE

We, representatives of founding members,

In light of the history of an unstable Rwanda,

Considering that:

❖ During the Belgian tutelage, the little power left to citizens was essentially in the hands of an aristocratic family to the detriment of a large majority of Rwandan people;
❖ The 1959 Revolution, though justified and legitimate, was not involving all those oppressed by the then political system;
❖ It was therefore a missed opportunity to bring together Rwandan people for a best common future;
❖ The power resulting from the said revolution was exercised in the name of an ethnic group (the Hutu) while the rest of the population was marginalized and persecuted;
❖ The 1973 coup d'etat did not improve the political state of affairs and discrimination against the Tutsi extended to residents of the southern regions of the country;
❖ Small groups of personalities in power, responsible for these acts of exclusion and persecution, assume the right to put their crimes on the back of an entire community, an ethnic group or a region when no one has mandated them;
❖ These acts resulted in a deep fragmentation of the Rwandan society;
❖ The 1990 war and the political crisis linked to the multiparty system widened the gap between different groups of the Rwandan society;
❖ It led to massacres, war crimes, genocide against the Tutsi, crimes against humanity committed by part of the army and pro-government militia on one hand and by the RPF (Rwandan Patriotic Front) army on the other;
❖ The RPF took advantage of this anarchy, for which it was partly responsible, to seize power in July 1994.

In light of the oppression endured by Rwandan people since the RPF came to power,

Considering that:

❖ The RPF has closed all political space and exercises total control over all sections of national life;
❖ All attempt to exercise freely civil and political rights is repressed by acts of murder or arbitrary arrest;
❖ Torture and other inhuman and degrading treatments are practiced with impunity in the country's detention centers;
❖ The government does not refrain from resorting to  mass crimes in order to terrorize the population;
❖ Enforced disappearances are routinely practiced;
❖ Judicial decisions are dictated by security forces and many Rwandans are unfairly convicted after sham trials;
❖ The judiciary is therefore by no means independent;
❖ The press is muzzled;
❖ The most basic principles of democracy are openly violated and elections are consistently rigged;
❖ Citizens are commonly and unlawfully deprived of their property;
❖ Nepotism, embezzlement of public funds and multiples concussions are erected in a style of government;
❖ Impoverishment of a large majority of the population is worsening;
❖ Rwandans are fleeing repression in large numbers;
❖ The number of Rwandan refugees is constantly increasing and there is urgent need to find a lasting solution to this problem.

Resolve to:

❖ Rise above disunity and do our utmost to put a definite end to all form of division within Rwandan people;
❖ Reconcile Rwandans with their history and work for peace and national unity;
❖ Put an end to dictatorship and install sustainable democratic governance.

A RELIRE :

-“The root cause of the Rwandan tragedy of 1994 is the long and past historical ethnic dominance of one minority ethnic group to the other majority ethnic group. Ignoring this reality is giving a black cheque for the Rwandan people’s future and deepening resentment, hostility and hatred between the two groups.”

-“The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power they took from the people will return to the people. And so long as men die, liberty will never perish.”

-“I have loved justice and hated iniquity: therefore I die in exile.

-“The price good men pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men.”
